Report on Enduring Powers of Attorney in the Four Western Canadian Provinces

The Western Canada Law Reform Agencies have published their joint report entitled "Enduring Powers of Attorney: Areas of Reform."

The report contains proposals to harmonize some aspects of the law relating to powers of attorney in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, including recognition of enduring powers of attorney, duties of attorneys, and safeguards against misuse.
